How to use 66 Streaks widgets on your iPhone Home Screen

66 Streaks Home Screen widgets keep your habits visible before you open the app. Choose a quick daily summary, a larger habit list, or one focused habit.

Add the right widget size, choose what it shows, and turn your Home Screen into a useful habit cue.

Which 66 Streaks widget should you choose?

66 Streaks offers three Home Screen widget styles. Daily Summary gives you an at-a-glance view in a small square. Habit List shows several habits in medium or large sizes. Single Habit Focus puts one selected habit front and center in a small or medium widget.

Choose based on the decision you want to remove. If you only need to know whether today is on track, use Daily Summary. If you track several habits, use Habit List. If one habit matters most right now, use Single Habit Focus.

How to add a 66 Streaks widget

  1. Touch and hold an empty area of your iPhone Home Screen until the apps begin to move.
  2. Tap Edit, then Add Widget.
  3. Search for 66 Streaks in the widget gallery.
  4. Swipe through the available widget styles and sizes.
  5. Tap Add Widget, move it where you want it, then tap Done.

Open 66 Streaks at least once and create a habit before adding a widget. That gives the widget useful information to display.

How to customize the Single Habit Focus widget

The Single Habit Focus widget lets you choose the habit it displays. Touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, then select a habit. Your habit name, icon, color, and progress make the widget easy to recognize at a glance.

You can add more than one Single Habit Focus widget. This works well when you want one page for a morning routine and another for an evening routine.

Where to place your widget

Widget placement should match the moment the habit happens. Put a reading widget near your Books app, a workout widget near your fitness apps, or a bedtime habit on the Home Screen page you use at night.

This is a form of cue design: the environment reminds you before memory has to do the work. A visible cue is especially useful when a habit is new and not automatic yet.

Keep the widget useful

Do not fill every screen with habit widgets. One strong cue usually works better than several competing cues. Start with the habit that has the clearest action and the most predictable time.

If you want the cue before you unlock your phone, continue with the guide to 66 Streaks Lock Screen widgets. For hands-free check-ins and automations, see 66 Streaks with Siri and Shortcuts.
